Tiling is done, bathtub is installed, heater under floor and on the wall are functioning...
Only the sink is still missing, I am hoping that it will work out before X-mas, is dependent on my carpenter now.
Bye bye for now - taking the first bath in my house now - after 2 years and 2 months of living in it :-)
Searching for a 2 room appartment for rent to go back to my hometown Bayreuth I stumbled across this super-offer. Read the story about me finding a house of my dreams without searching for it - and the progress of the renovation.

New Bathroom - some more progress
Putting up the tiles in my bathroom will end soon. Tomorrow the electrician will come to put down the ground heater and the lamps. The day after I hope tiling will be finished.
And hopefully the water-taps will be installed soon - yes, I am STILL dirty :-)

New Bathroom - the progress
Well, it's been exactly 2 weeks now that the project "new bathroom" started. There are handy-men in my house every day, one knocks down tiles, one does some pipe installations, another one does the electricity...
In the past 2 days some of the new tiles were put on the walls and today finally the bathtub was installed...
But we are still far from me taking a bath - I am still dirty!

Finally, after 2 years - a new bathroom...
Remember, this is what it looked like when I took it over:
Can't wait to get a new bathroom. Haven't been taking a bath and no "comfortable shower" in 2 years. Will be my new wellness oasis within 2-3 weeks!
You will hear from me soon,
Steffi
So this week finally the tiles got knocked off, the bathtub got ripped out...
Sad thing: It will take for 2 weeks now until the company has time to put in my new bath, including toilet, new bathtub, an extra shower and a new sink. This is what it looks like right now for the next 2 weeks, no shower for me, all dirty...
You will hear from me soon,
Steffi

Project wastewater treatment system - DONE
This is the final (temporary) look of my terrace after the wastewater treatment system was built in. In a few years when I have saved up enough money again I will of course put some nice floor tiles on top.
Guess I need to plant some shrubs now.... |

My new wastewater treatment system
I had this big construction going on over the past 3 days to build in the required septic system at my house. See the pictures, they speak for themselves...
Hurra - it's coming! |
The big digger |
Uaaaah - tearing apart my terrace |
Starting the big hole for the plant |
There was all kinds of crap found burried in my yard |
Sand delivery - right in front of my door |
"The grave" for the plant. |
There it comes... |
And my friend "Hartl" from the company "KLARO" who sells these is also here. |
In the evening after everyone left Rocki had to explore the new look of HIS yard. |
Digging in the dirt |
2nd day, all pipes get connected |
Hartl connecting the electricity and compressor. |
3rd day |
Tearing my complete terrace apart to add some pipes for rain underneath. |
We found so much odd stuff under the terrace |
Uaaaaahhh.. |
Help !!! |
The big pipe, so the rain will never overflood my terrace again. |
All holes closed again. |
Rocks, for the temporary surface of my terrace. |
.... starts looking good again |
And finally they let ME do the last few hands on in the big digger!!!! |
How much fun! |
Successful end of the 3rd day... |
