New Pictures from Mom

My Mom is very excited about my (almost) new house (not signed yet), so she went there again at the weekend. The old owners were there, so she went inside and could take a few more picture. Yes, for ME, because I still haven't seen it myself!

Yes, everyone who looked at it yet is pretty shocked what it looks like, but - hey - it was THAT cheap and we know it needs renovation....
The door into garden and house.
This definitely will be replaced very soon!

Look from the street into the front yard.
These dirty white shingles will be replaced.
I dream from a light grey color for the whole house - maybe next year.

I have no clue where that could be, most likely behind the house from the garden side.

The kitchen - be sure that NOTHING stays like it is right now.

Iiiiiieeeeeh - the 70's bathroom :-)
My Mom says that besides the funny colors everything is clean and usable.
So this will probably not be one of the first things to renovate - will see...

My Mom with some friend of the current owner in the back yard.
The jungle is calling...

The way from the house deeper down into the garden.
Maybe Tarzan lives there :-)

... big construction!

Oh well, I can imagine what it could look like after renewing.

I guess the roof will need to be replaced in a few years,
thank god my uncle is a roofer!

This will be my parking spot,
I just hope they will let me set up a car port, so my Alfa has some winter protection.
I know, it all looks very old, but when buying such an old house you know you have to take some money to renew lots of stuff. But this is the greatest area around Bayreuth you could possibly live and still, this huge yard for this money is just amazing.

  1. Wow - I have that exact same bird sticker on my window. It keeps the birds from crashing into it. Nice to know that if I moved to Europe, I could get my stickers there too.

  2. LOL - but I will throw all the current windows out. There is only one layer of normal glas and us Europeans think a lot about insulation for winter time (I know you don't really need that in Dallas, but I also know the northern States don't do it any better - one (of the few) points +++ for Europe).
And I need security glas (besides the insulation) when living out in the nothing all by myself...
