My new kitchen

So here is what my new kitchen will be looking like....

When putting it together with the very nice kitchen planner I started with the words: You don't need to plan for a "normal" fridge, because it has always been my dream to have one of these huge "american" fridges with an ice maker/crusher at the front. My first new kitchen in my own house definitely needs to have that.
At the end I felt like being in my favorite movie (Life of Brian), because we were "haggling" for the price like professionals. It ended up to be the "normal" price for the kitchen (who wants to know it may ask me :-) with my "american fridge" on top as a gift - and it cost over € 1000 :-)

Don't I have a sweet kitchen planner, who even put some fruit on top of the counter and hung some pictures on the wall in the planning papers :-)
I would have liked to have a black kitchen, but my Mom has one and I agree that you never stop cleaning the fronts because you see all "fingertips", dirt and dust on it.
Anyway - all this grey might look a little boring - but the kitchen software did not have a "brighter" neon-green in its colors (what it will be in reality later) and I added some very special tiles as splash guard on the wall behind the sink and the stove - little black glas stones with silver sparkling in it.
And to avoid comments like "no dishwasher???" from my american friends, like my colleague had asked me already - yes, there is a dishwasher, it is hiding in one of the cabinets under the sink, it is built in :-)

For interested people - here you can see the complete kitchen plan online.

I can't wait to see how it will look like for real, but it will take until at least mid September until the kitchen can be delivered. Gotta wait...

First changes

All the old bushes were taken out next to the fence to the street.
There will be the new fence door there,
not that aslope concret thing directly in front of the house door any more.
Most important, this is the only even place with the street,
the only place where later some vehicle could drive in (to dig a pool or so :-
)

Compare with this photo from about 2 weeks ago - all bushes behind the house are gone now!

Bad spaces on the roof were replaced, repaired and new paint is on it.
That should do it for the next few years until I get a new roof.
I will have new photos soon, Peter - my construction supervisor always had his camera ready when he did something, e.g. ripped out 5 (!) layers of carpet, LOL.

Next steps:
  • New (safe) windows
  • New (safe) house door
  • Tiles and timber tiling floors
After that:
  • Complete interiour renovation
  • New kitchen
  • Still ??? about these stairs
  • Fence for Rocki
And then:
  • Steffi and Rocki will move in, hopefully sometime in September

Construction Site inspection

My car in front of the house with my gf's daughter and Rocki.
Selling my car or keeping as only summer car?
Need a 4 wheel drive for winter time to get home in the future!

The horrible hatch and stairs to go downstairs  into the bathroom.
Need to think for some solution...

No room for different stairs or even spiral stairs.
Ideas are welcome...!!!

Kitchen - will look at new kitchens and buy one soon,
so all accesses and connections for water and electricity can get changed.

Big construction...

Future bedroom, it is big!

Entrance from the bedroom into the walk-in clauset.
Wow, lots to do!!!

I did it...

I signed the contract today - I am now a house owner, wow!!!

Got the keys already, tomorrow morning first construction talk with my friends and family crew!

I still can't believe I did that, I guess "Plan B" of my life can get started, "Plan A" is still waiting to come true, but not forgotten...
